The Rams have just signed veteran receiver Desean Jackson. This is an interesting signing by the rams, the have recently traded Jared Goff for Mathew Stafford a hand full of weeks ago. The Rams must be in win now mode with all of the pieces they have added. The Rams had the #1 overall defense last season and had some good players on offense and with the addition of Stafford and also the deep threat of Desean, the could be a serious contender next season. It will be interesting to see if the Rams try to pick anyone else up in Free Agency or see if they will stay quiet.

Things are starting to pick up with Free Agency in the NFL. The Seattle Seahawks just resigned their starting running back Chris Carson to a 2 year deal. Phillip Lindsay agreed to terms with the Houston Texans on a one year deal. Kyle Fuller signed with the Chicago Bears on a one year deal as well. The bigger signing over the past few days is Kenny Golladay signing with the New York Giants. The Giants may have the pieces together to make it to the Playoffs this upcoming season. They have a #1 receiver in Golladay and have Darius Slayton, Evan Ingram, and Sterling Shepard to compliment as well. They also signed speedster John Ross and with the return of Saquon Barkley it will be interesting to see how the Giants do this season.

The Steelers have just resigned star receiver Juju Smith-Schuster to a 1 year deal. This is a big move for the Steelers to resign Juju because it keeps their offense mostly intact. Juju is young but is known as the Veteran receiver of the group but is only in his mis 20's. Juju plays a key role in the Steelers scheme as he is the slot receiver and makes very tough catches in the middle of the field and Big Ben's go to receiver. This move also lets the steelers target other players in different positions during free agency and the upcoming draft. It will be interesting what moves they will make from here on out.

Over the past several days, many moves have been going on in free agency. There have been many moves and some bigger named players will now be playing for new teams. AJ Green who was Cincinnati's top receiver for several years has been picked up by the Arizona Cardinals. The Cards could be good this year as they also picked up JJ Watt a few weeks ago. The Steelers have been losing a lot of key defensive players due to free agency. Bud Dupree got signed by the Tennessee Titans, Mike Hilton went to the Cincinnati Bengals, Tyson Alualu is going back to the Jacksonville Jaguars. They were able to Re-sign Cameron Sutton to a 2 year deal and he will likely take over Hilton's slot corner duties. The steelers also cut Vince Williams to save about 4 million in cap space. I love Vince but he is not the greatest linebacker, he is great at stopping the run but he is terrible in coverage and the NFL is a pass first league now. The big question remaining is with Juju Smith-Schuster. The St...

Today, New Orleans legendary quarterback, Drew Brees, officially announced his retirement after 20 seasons in the NFL. Many speculated that he would retire after the 2020 season due to injuries and it seemed that he did not have the arm strength to drive the ball that far down the field. Although it is a sad day for all fans to see this great quarterback retire, it will be interesting to see how the Saints handle Brees' departure. They have just extended quarterback Taysom Hill for 4 more years, but Hill plays many different positions for the saints lining up at basically every skilled position on the offense. They also have Jameis Winston who sat a year behind Brees to learn the scheme better. Only time will tell if Hill will take over the starting quarterback position or will they start Winston and keep plugging Hill in whatever other position they need him too.

Hello everybody, my name is Logan Rossi and I am a Sport Management major at Slippery Rock University. I use to play football at Edinboro University but I unfortunately had to stop playing. I still have a passion for football even though my playing days are over. Over the next few weeks I will be blogging mainly about football. The NFL is currently in their offseason and some moves in free agency are starting to develop such as Cam Newton recently resigning with the patriots for one year. It will be interesting to see what future trades and free agency pickups will happen over the coming weeks.
